My husband offered to dig the spot for him in our back yard, but I refused, saying I had to do it. I was getting over a cold and it was rainy and awful out. Once I dug the hole, he came out and said it was just over our property line. So, I had to fill it up and dig another one. What an awful day that was. I still miss you, Murphy.
Darn your story, I'm still tearing up.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17513368.post-83159138912943441202008-01-08T13:38:00.000-06:002008-01-08T13:38:00.000-06:00this was really very touching.its nice to hear abo...this was really very touching.

its nice to hear about such an obviously important member of your family.each of the twohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407616096825874918noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17513368.post-44885639188837178352008-01-08T13:19:00.000-06:002008-01-08T13:19:00.000-06:00My eyes are teary now, Tyler! When our dog Rascal died, when I was in the 11th grade, I was completely inconsolable. I still miss her. I'm pretty sure it was a suicide attempt. He wasn't expected to live. But then he did. I remember being at the vet and thinking I was saying good-bye and left him a piece of clothing of mine so he knew I was there and breaking down sobbing. He was like my animal reflection because I raised him from when he was really small. He's resilient though and made it. The point of this story is that cats are better than people and I feel your pain.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17513368.post-41188242305210954092008-01-08T09:32:00.000-06:002008-01-08T09:32:00.000-06:00I'm sure Tex would give this lovely tribute two en...I'm sure Tex would give this lovely tribute two enthusiastic paws up.

And then he would puke on it.MonoCerdohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05800003055303448203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17513368.post-4128709490826904692008-01-08T09:12:00.000-06:002008-01-08T09:12:00.000-06:00I'm sorry about your kitty. I remember how upset I was when I went home for the first time from college and found out my parents had put down the cat I picked out when I was three and didn't bother telling me because they "didn't want to upset me during finals." Even Fritz, who I've only known for about 6 months, made me lose sleep in his crazy disappearing act last week. Now that he's back I've bought him a new collar, a bed, and cat bowls with the Eiffel Tower to remind him of his French upbringing. I wonder if I will ever be normal and actually like babies as much as kittens.Marthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16389652985734492949noreply@blogger.com
